Windows Recovery after "unmountable boot volume" error in Windows XP SP

Each volume contains Windows XP mountable or system, which has the operating system installed on this. After completion of the POST (Power On Self Test) operation, the computer reads the system partition and load the operating system. However, if the system fails to recognize the beginning or the system partition, your Windows machine can not start.

What causes "unmountable boot volume" error in Windows XP?

You may experience this problem in Windows XP due to reasons below:

  • The Boot.ini file in Windows XP is missing or damaged.

  • The hard drive is bad and unreadable.

Solution

There are two possible solutions to this problem, depending on the cause of the problem:

Boot.ini missing or corrupted files

  • Boot to the Recovery Console.

  • Type chkdsk / p in the Recovery Console to check if the drive is bad.

  • Restart the system if chkdsk finds no errors.

  • If your system has the same problem after running chkdsk, reboot your system into the Recovery Console.

  • Run chkdsk / r Defective areas to locate and retrieve data.

Bad or unreadable disk

If the data structures Critics, such as file system, boot loader, and the MBR (Master Boot Record) of your Windows XP has been corrupted, you must format the hard drive reinstall operating system to fix the problem.

While editing can correct most of these errors with a Windows computer, but also deletes all data from the hard disk and puts you in the need for Windows data recovery.

someone please help me with this problem. I do not know how to install iTunes on Linux, or I know the commands to use WINE. Can someone give me step by step directions on how to install iTunes on Linux please! Thanks

Music Organization!?

I have a good library of music on a fairly-sized external hard drive. I want a software that:-opensource O device can record / burn CDs, keep my music files very well organized, includes lists may include ING * w / * sync my MP3 player can have MP3 File Finder is a boarding school there freeware like this for download? suggestions, ideas … please! Well, I can not use iTunes because it is not compatible with my mp3 player [sansae250 ]…. other ideas?
