Travel in and around Sausalito Anniversary
Located 15 minutes north of San Francisco, lies the charming city of Sausalito Bayside fill their way Trip Planner. Sausalito is picturesque, with a large promenade. There are floating houses and streets full of flowers by hand, the trendy shops and many places for dinner, Most have views of the bay. It is also very near the sequoias (Muir Woods, about 8 miles), a couple of beaches, 20 minutes (Muir Beach, Stinson Beach), Isla Tiburón and Angel just a little North and, of course, in San Francisco about 15 minutes south.
You will find a wide range of hotels according to your budget. Do you deliver to the Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa ($ 200 – $ 405/night) bay front (street side) and where every room has a view of Richardson Bay. Another good option is the Inn above the tide, which is just above the water ($ 305 1025/night). Both hotels are on Bridgeway, Sausalito's main street. If a cheapest hotel in your budget better, add one of the hotels after their road trip planner: Hotel Sausalito (a bit of the French Riviera in the park in Sausalito) of $ 155 or one other in the low-end 100s/night $.
Sausalito attracts visitors from around the world as evidenced by the number of accents to listen to while walk along the quays. And yet, Sausalito manages to keep this hidden jewel "feeling. Another highlight was the number of exclamations:" Wow! Sight that sky! 'The photos were taken in abundance, and rightly so.
Another favorite activity to add to your road trip agenda is to hire bicycles in San Francisco, then plan a full day while driving from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Sausalito side, same risk further north in Tiburon, if you are so bent, then take the ferry to San Francisco or Sausalito and Tiburon. I have a picture of the last ferry leaves Sausalito showing that most passengers came with bike.
Here are some examples of things you can do in that field. Add to your calendar on the road trip will give you a wide (and complete) on vacation!
Day 1 – Front in Sausalito: Bridgeway is the main theme, but in the next street on the hill, New Caledonia, is a movie theater, a store of historical and antique shops, dining spots, and art galleries. Definitely worth a visit. A travel tip: You can get wireless in and around the library. You will also find Wi-Fi in some of the cafes of Bridgeway.
Day 2 – Muir Woods: There are many sightseeing options available to experience the California redwoods, a mere 1 / 2 hours walking a loop of 4.5 Upstream Training overlooking the sea. While there I saw a number of bus tours that visited Muir Woods www.SFShuttletours.com Tower Tours www.city-sightseeing.us .
Day 3 – Alcatraz Island: "We had a chance with a connection Dean gave us a private tour so you have a unique experience of Alcatraz! He took two steps at a time to show the cell of Al Capone, the Birdman and when cell also Clint Eastwood stayed during the filming of the movie, Escape from Alcatraz. For visits to the public, take the ferry up to 300 passengers at a time and when you get the group is divided into three groups of 100, each headed by a dean. The Ferry Pier 39 is located near so you can make a day of activities and shops between Pier and Alcatraz. A Travel Tip: Save $ by parking in the final 4 hours, you can even find free parking on Bay Street (which Ts in the Embarcadero).
Day 4 – The Lighthouse Cafe is a small food with five tables and eight bar stools. They are open from 6:30-15 am and while we were there, all tables remained full. There is a saying: "When Rome …" so I went to Copenhagen with remoulade burger. Sabroso! Then they went to Muir Beach for a couple of primetime hours flying wing. A trip trick: Games People Play on Bridgeway in Sausalito has a large inventory of fresh comets (comet grabbed a 18-foot frog but others are over 60 feet in length!).
Just might need to tack on a few more days to your trip planner road, as both the Angel Island and Jaws are also exploring while you are in and around Sausalito.
